Finance for service business owners

Ordino puts what matters first. You decide.

I let you know before cash gets tight, chase what customers owe you, and show you where you're losing margin. I text you what I find with the fix already drafted, and wait for your answer. You make the final decision.

No app to open. No dashboard to interpret. I work out what needs a decision and bring it to you, with one link when the numbers need a screen.

What you don't know is costing you

Four questions every owner should be able to answer this week, and the kind of text I'd send you about each.

Will cash cover what's due?

I watch runway, bills, payroll and taxes, and text you before a gap opens, with the fix already drafted.

Payroll, the Ferguson bill and your quarterly tax all land the week of the 15th. That's $11,600 against $9,200 in the account. I drafted a reminder for the $4,800 Hartwell owes you. Send it?

Who owes you, and what should you do?

I learn how long each customer usually takes to pay, and tell you when one is late for them, not just past 30 days.

Brightline usually pays in 30 days. This $6,200 invoice is at 38. A reminder is drafted. Send it?

Where are you losing margin?

I catch jobs that cost more than you billed, and vendors whose prices went up.

Your answering service went from $310 to $395 a month in August. I drafted a note asking them to hold the old rate. Send it?

What needs you this week?

One list, most important first: contracts about to renew, targets your team missed, money to set aside.

Your $14,400 software contract renews in 9 days, and the cancellation window closes Friday. Nobody has logged in since June. Worth cancelling before Friday?

Knowing what to do was never the problem.

Doing it is. I run one simple loop on your real numbers: I read, decide what matters, tell you plainly, wait for your call, and then check your accounts to see that it actually happened. Each turn teaches me what works for you.

Your real accounts and data 1 2 3 4 5 6 Read Rank Say it plainly You decide Check Learn Follow-through rate the share of suggestions that actually get done

Follow-through rate: the share of suggestions that actually get done.

How I measure follow-through

A suggestion counts as followed through only when your accounts show it happened. If I can't confirm it, I don't count it.

  1. Read

I read your connected accounts and documents. Read-only. No spreadsheets, no manual entry.

  2. Rank

I sort what matters most this week, so you get the one thing worth your attention instead of a list of twenty.

  3. Say it plainly

Get paid. Set the tax aside. Stop reopening that invoice. I flag the invoice that's gone quiet, draft the follow-up, and confirm when the payment lands.

  4. You decide

Approve it, put it off, or dismiss it. I suggest. You make the final call.

  5. Check

I look at your actual accounts to confirm the invoice got paid, the transfer happened, the charge stopped. Not a checkbox. Proof.

  6. Learn

Every turn shows me what works for you: the smaller first step, the better time of day, the kind of nudge you actually act on.

Getting started takes three steps.

  1. Connect your accounts.

Bank, cards, accounting and payroll. I can see them but can't move money on my own.

  2. I find it and draft the fix.

One text when something needs you, with the reminder or note already written.

  3. You answer in a word.

"Send." "Not now." "Why?" Then I check that it happened, so nothing you approve quietly slips.

Questions owners ask

Is my data secure? Who can see it?

I connect to your bank through Plaid, which is SOC 2 Type II certified. I never store your bank password, only a read-only access token, and that token is encrypted. Your data travels over encrypted connections. Inside Ordino, only the people who run and support the service can access it. You can revoke my access anytime from Settings or from your bank.

Do you sell my data or use it to train AI?

No. Your data isn't sold, licensed or shared with advertisers or data brokers. I use AI models from OpenAI and Anthropic under business terms that don't allow them to train on your data.

Do I need to change my bank, cards or accounting software?

No. I work with the accounts you already have: over 12,000 banks and credit unions, and your accounting software. I'll suggest a better card or account when it's worth it, but switching is always your call.

Will you move money or send anything without me?

No money moves without your approval. Drafted emails, like a payment reminder, go out when you approve them. If you choose to, you can let me send certain kinds of messages on my own after a waiting period.

Does Ordino replace my bookkeeper or accountant?

No. I watch the day-to-day so they don't have to, and I hand them clean exports and an audit package when they need them.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes, on any plan, from Settings. If you close your account, you have 30 days to change your mind, then your data is permanently deleted.

What do I need to text Ordino?

A verified phone number. Every plan includes texting: 5 texts from me a month on Free, 15 on Starter and unlimited on Operator. Answers and alerts count; codes, quick confirmations and the weekly digest don't. Reply STOP anytime to stop texts.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, from Settings. If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, you get a full refund.
